Want to be a part of Making Community Possible for families impacted by disability in the treasure Coast?

Hear from our volunteers...

I have been looking for a place to volunteer. I am excited to be a part of what Ability Tree is doing!

HELP MAKE COMMUNITY POSSIBLE!

Join our team of volunteers at the Ability Tree Treasure Coast! Here's our process...

1. Submit an Application

Click the button below! The application will provide us with some information about you, your experience, why you'd like to volunteer, and your interest areas.

2. Background
Check

If you are over 18, you’ll receive a background check authorization to fill out.
If you are under 18, our team will send a minor waiver to your parent/guardian.

3. Approval
to Serve

Our team will review your application and background check/minor waver, and reach out to you from there. Once approved, you will be added to our volunteer list and receive emails and/or texts for new volunteer opportunities!

Volunteer FAQ

How old do I need to be?

You must be 14 and at least in 9th grade to volunteer.  We do allow 12-13 year olds to volunteer with a parent or guardian accompanying them.

Do you provide training?

Yes! We provide a 60-90 minute volunteer training that is mandatory to attend before volunteering. This training will help equip you to work with our MVPs and CU students, give you more information about Ability Tree, and go over our policies and procedures.

When do you need volunteers?

Our most needed times for volunteers are at our Teen Connect, Parent's Night Out and Connection events on Fridays and Saturday evenings. We also have opportunities to serve at monthly community events.

Can my small group, youth group, school club, etc. volunteer together?

Yes! We love having volunteer groups, especially for Parent's Night Out. If your group is interested in volunteering, email kristaljustice@abilitytree.org.
